This 18th century true traditional riad is a green oasis in the middle of the medina where orange trees and jasmine provide shade and fragrance. Inside riad Mesc el Lil, all is calm and quiet.
Enter the Medina by Bab Laksour. Continue down Sidi Yamani street for approx.150 meters. Derb Snane is on the left. You will find Riad Mesc el Lil at No. 88. Jaama el Fna square is less than 10 minutes away.
In the patio with the marble fountain, carved cedar doors open to reveal three superb suites with ensuite designer bathrooms, a grand salon dominated by a huge fireplace, a small ‘peacock’ salon where you can play music, a kitchen and a dining room.
Visually stimulating culinary delights of traditional Moroccan cuisine accompanied by varieties of homemade breads are prepared by the excellent cook and served in the romantic patio gardens, on the terrace, or in the mirrored dining room.
Cooking lesssons are available for the 6 privileged guests of Patricia, the owner, a friend from New Zealand.

Puede que haya Riad más bonitos, cada uno a su estilo, pero la amabilidad, y la calidad del servicio, al margen de la delicadeza de la decoración, hacen de este lugar un sitio inmejorable.

Magnífico riad. Quizá diferente en algunos aspectos, pero mucho más exclusivo que los demás. La propietaria, Patricia, es encantadora. El servicio, excepcional. Los desayunos....una delicia. El trato, exquisito. La limpieza, superior.

Debería quedar más claro el tema del transporte al aeropuerto, ya que en la reserva inicial de Villanovo estaban incluidos tanto la ida como la vuelta, siendo sólo la ida la que estaba incluida finalmente. En la oferta aparecía incluída la ida y la vuelta al aeropuerto por un aestancia de tres noches o más, pero después, una vez allí, la oferta era para 4 o más noches. estos son pequeños detalles que no hacen bien a la evaluación final del riad.

Es un pequeño paraiso en medio de la Medina. Asusta la primera vez la llegada, pero una vez alli y localizado una maravilla.

Aunque la entrada (todas las callejuelas que llevan hasta el riad), al comienzo, impresiona un poco (mejor llegar de día que de noche), una vez que uno traspasa el dintel de la puerta y se encuentra con aquel patio tan maravilloso (muy fresquito, eso sí), con aquella tranquilidad (los pájaros te despiertan por la mañana con sus trinos...), con esa fantástica anfitriona que es Patricia (¡todo un personaje!), con la dulzura y discreción de Naíma y con las magníficas de Nadja en la cocina... ¡Te olvidas de todo! TENGO MUCHAS GANAS DE VOLVER. ¡Muchas gracias a todos por su atención!

Destination Marrakech, on an Easy Jet fare, To celebrate my 40th joyeaux anniversairre. Our Riad in the Medina, with Patricia our host, Orange trees in her courtyard, starting with a champagne toast. A speciality of flat bread, couscous and tagine, But strictly no alcohol, anywhere to be seen. Except hidden away, behind an amazing door The trendy Fondouk restaurant, we entered in awe! A horse + cart ride, to celebrate 40 years Lunch in the Majorelle Gardens, but no wine or beers! A long scrub + massage in a very swish spa, Dinner Le Jardin Marrakech, all recommendations fab so far! Ahmed our driver, although we did loads of walking Mountain climb in Ourika Valley, also lots of laughter and talking Haggling in the Souks, let the competition begin. A photo of a snake charmer, on the list to win! Prayers 5 times a day but 5am is keen! No evidence of health and safety to be seen Ending at the fusion bar and onto La Pacha club Champagne in the Chilling Lounge and then dancefloor with loud sub What a truly wonderful experience with just the best company Thank you for celebrating my special birthday with me.
