This riad is an exquisite traditional house located close to Bab Taghzout, 15 minutes away from Jaama el Fna square and 5 minutes away from the souks. The riad was entirely refurbished and renovated recently by a reknown architect.
It is a luxury and majestic riad with high ceilings and contemporary décor. The large courtyard is planted with white roses, palmtrees and exotic seeds spreading around the 16 sqm heated pool. A large living room with a dining area is the perfect place for exquisite diner in winter times.
The 7 bedrooms are vast and comfortable offering ensuite bathroom and air conditionning.
Room 1 (patio)
Room located in the patio and including a lounge area, a large bed of 160x190 and ensuite bathroom in tadelakt.
Bedroom 2 (menzeh wahed)
This room includes a choice of double bed or 2 single beds 90X190, a bathroom with separate toilet and seating area in a menzeh. The room can accommodate a 3rd person.
Bedroom 3 (menzeh Jouj)
This room has a separate entrance with a closet, bathroom, a 160X200 bed and sitting area in a menzeh.
Bedroom 4 (douiria)
Room with 1 bed 180x190, a fireplace, a sitting area, large bathroom with a bathtub in a menzeh with moucharabieh, separate toilet, a small private gallery overlooking a small patio. This room can be connected to a small lounge with chimney to receive up to 5 guests.
Room 5 (galerie)
The bedroom includes a double bed 160X200, a sitting area, shower room, separate wc and a large private gallery overlooking the patio.
Room 6 (suite salon)
This suite includes a spacious room with 2 beds 90x190 (double or twin beds), a lounge area for 2 additional guests and bathroom tadelakt.
Room 7 (small patio)
Room on the ground floor with a private patio of 40m2 planted with bamboo and a bhou, bedroom with 2 beds 90x190 (double or twin beds), a fireplace, a sitting area, dressing room and a bathroom with shower opening onto the patio
There is a hammam and masssage room with all kinds of spa treatments available. The cook prepares wonderful Moroccan cuisine. The staff is absolutely lovely.
The owner has acquired several bikes which you can freely use to go around the medina and visit Marrakech.

le personnel est incroyablement gentil, serviable, souriant et disponible. La cuisine était délicieuse(sauf la pastilla de pigeon pas très bonne) avec une mention particulière pour le tajine(boeuf au poire) et le couscous royale qui étaient fantastiques
Le chauffage dans la plupart des chambres est nettement insuffisant (sauf petit patio, menzeh jouj et menzeh waheb qui elles étaient bien chauffées mais elles mériteraient un chauffage d'appoint dans les salles de bain). Le hammam n'est pas assez chaud. Dommage les chambres manquent peut être un peu de couleurs pour les personnaliser

A beautiful riad, tastefully restored. Our bedroom (Menzeh Jouj) was large, simply but nicely decorated, huge window overlooking the garden and pool in the central courtyard, good airconditioning. Big bathroom with bath and shower. Kingsize comfortable bed with spotless linen. Couple of comfortable chairs on the balcony outside our bedroom door.
Breakfasts on the roof terrace, shelterted from the worst of the heat from the morning sun. Toast, butter, jams/honey; pastries, yoghurt, juice and coffee. We are vegetarians, so provided Mohammed a bit of a puzzle for the one dinner we ate in the riad - he came up trumps and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal on the ground floor terrace by the pool. Mohammed and Aziz are both stars - welcoming, polite, attentive, forever helpful and always a ready smile or joke. We didn't get to see much of the other staff, but on return from the souks/sites our room was always spotless. Travel/transfer arrangements always worked well, with good drivers and quality cars. Sadik, the manager of this and another riad was enthusiastic and most helpful. You couldn't help liking this riad.
VillaNovo made booking our riad very easy. Excellent information about the riads allowed comparison easy and the wealth of pictures available meant it possible to make an informed choice.
Nothing to dislike. The riad is tucked away in the north of the Medina, which means it is welcomingly quiet - but that also means for us it was usually a bit too far to walk, especially when very hot, to the main sites and The Big Square (Djemaa el Fna) but taxis are both readily and cheaply available from the nearby square at Bab Taghzout. Petit taxis usually cost between 20 to 40 dirrham per journey depending on time of day; negotiating skills and distance - not necessarily in that order - don't expect to see a meter so always agree a price first.
The self styled guides on the streets are a nuisance, but you learn to bat them off. Everyone needs to make a living, but they become a bit tedious until you learn to ignore their offers to direct you - not always to where you want to go. That said, we walked through dark crowded streets and felt perfectly safe - although dodging bikes; mopeds; scooters; cars and donkey carts takes a bit of getting used to until you manage to steel yourself to the basis they will drive round you.

It is a wunderful Riad and everything is great. The only thing is the location, very difficult to find and you have to go by taxi to the medina.

Excellent ravis d'avoir séjourné dans ce riad qui se trouve dans un quartier hors circuit touristique , ce qui constitue pour nous un plus surtout à Marrakec ou il est bon de quitter un peu les sentiers battus.
Accueil et chambres magnifiques. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

Mi impresión sobre este riad ha sido excelente, tantro en el servicio como en la calidad del alojamiento. El único inconveniente que presentó es que estaba un poco retirado del centro pero que no me importó ya que su calidad compensaba la distancia. Sin lugar a dudas recomendaría este sitio a otras personas que fueran de viaje a Marrakech.
