L'Ilot is a rock platform of 3100 m² situated in the lagoon of Roches Noires, on the North East cost of Mauritius, at approximately 100 m from the coastline.

Access is via a rock and wood bridged causeway. Positioned on a sand bed and surrounded by filaos trees, this vast villa of almost 300 m² faces North-West, with its back to prevailing breezes.

The building and the its interiors are of a refined contemporary style in harmony with the beauty of this unique site: natural building materials, stone, white or weathered wood , raw concrete, inox, natural fabrics, linen, comfortable and adaptable furniture.

L'Ilot offers a unique location, surrounded by the lagoon and facing the islands north of Mauritius, “Ile Ronde” , “Ile aux serpents”.

There is easy access on all sides to the sea. At the front of the house, a small stone stairway takes you down to its own natural bathing pool nested between L'Ilot and two other closeby islets.

Safe and peaceful bathing is assured there. To the East is a little jetty leading to deeper waters for swimming and diving.

The light is magical on this turquoise lagoon and low tides are spectacular - a rare phenomena in Mauritius -, exposing vast sand banks. L'Ilot, although an integral part of Mauritius, offers a retreat if desired. With a 360° panorama the scenery is transformed all the time.

Depending on the wind, the light, the ocean swell, l'Ilot shimmers and changes constantly, upwind or downwind, hot or cooled by sea breezes.

Roches Noires, on the East cost of Mauritius, is at less than 15mn away from Grand Bay, known for its luxury shops, restaurants, night life, around 15 mn from the famous golf courses of the East coast and only 30 mn from the city of Port Louis.

The villa is on a level with the islet, surrounded by sand and with direct access to the sea.

The life is organized around the large open veranda with a view of the lagoon to the north, east and west; Outside there is a dining table set up under the trees, and a deck of 35m ² overlooking the turquoise sea which allows you to rest there for a sundowner or take your lunch or dinner with a stunning view.

A large Weber grill provides a quality cooking and a water fountain features permanently fresh water.

The house is composed of:

- A large living room equipped with a flat screen TV with satellite channels, an iPod docking station
- A luxurious kitchen equipped with granite worktop, oven, 5 gas burners, microwave, dishwasher, American refrigerator, steam cooker, Nespresso coffee machine
- 4 bedrooms organized as follows:
o Master bed room, East , suite of 26m ² with a king size bed, bathroom, toilet,
air conditioning, private veranda, flat screen TV, safe
o North, suite of 22 m² with a bed 180 cm, convertible into twin beds, bathroom,
toilet, air conditioning, private veranda, safe
o Two rooms, Western rooms (3 beds 90 cm, air conditioning) and South room
(160 cm bed, air conditioning, exterior access) in a family suite with bathroom
and toilet.

The linen is in cotton percale and the islet has a large selection of pillows.

The house is fully serviced by a high speed internet access with secure wireless access, and is protected by a monitored alarm.

An outdoor shower allows you to cool off after swimming and a standby generator to start automatically ensures a continuous supply of electricity.

L'Ilot – services provided:

The house staff is included in the rental price, the service is available Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 3pm, by alternating two employees.

Their tasks include: washing and ironing, general cleaning of the house and preparing breakfast and simple meals, local, Indian or European.

The American breakfast with a variety of house specialties (pancakes, cakes, etc. ..) and local products (yogurt, fruit, juice, etc.) is included in the rental.

Arrival meal:
At guests' arrival, a Creole lunch is offered, and the basic food products of the holiday are available in the villa to avoid rush for the first necessary needs.

Shopping services for your meal, or half-board or full board are available with extra charge.

L'Ilot offers a selection of wines for the first meal, a rosé and a white wine from South African red wine from Argentina.

A selection of local products, jams, salt, oil, berries are available for the stay.
