The trendy ski resort of St Moritz, in the Swiss Alps, certainly knows how to do christmas the way it should be done with its glorious christmas market called Glatshin. The latter is much appreciated by royals and celebrities, who you might come across at one of the market’s wooden stalls selling all sorts of things from local handicrafts to mulled wine, without forgetting the mistletoe. Fira de Santa Llucia, which is said to be the most popular christmas market in Spain, is the oldest in Barcelona and has been taking place every year since 1786. Montepulciano, Tuscany
