Discover 4 wonders in the heart of nature around the world

As a traveller, you may be a thrill-seeker, a lover of hiking around the world, a lover of encounters, museums, or a traveller who travels to discover the various cuisines around the world. If you are a nature lover, Villanovo has selected for you 5 wonders in the heart of nature around the world. From one continent to another, the landscape is very varied and different, which makes the world a perpetual discovery and it is what makes us want to travel.

The Cenote Ik Kil - Mexico

The Cenote Ik Kil - Mexico

If we go back to the origins, the word "cenote" means "sacred well" in Maya. A cenote is a kind of cave that has been created as a result of a natural phenomenon of dissolution of the limestone rock by acid rain. To imagine the Ik Kil cenote in Yucatán, imagine a real well seen from above where the water is crystal clear and the surrounding nature is green. Mexico has about 10,000 cenotes and in Yucatan is the Ik Kil cenote, also known as the "Sacred Blue Cenote". 40 meters deep, the water surface is 26 meters deep, so you're probably wondering if it's possible to swim in this freshwater cave that reflects Mayan culture, and the answer is yes!  In the past, the Mayans considered the cenotes sacred and threw offerings of all kinds into them for the god of rain. Swimming in this cenotaph will give you a new feeling.

Mont Fuji - Japan

Mont Fuji - Japan

100 km southwest of Tokyo, there is the incredible Mount Fuji volcano, at an altitude of 3,776 metres it is the highest mountain in the country. This landscape may remind you of the works of Edo de Hokusai and Hiroshige, which were often inspired by the volcano. In Japan, the Fuji volcano is one of the country's 3 sacred mountains and is renowned for welcoming a large number of travellers who come to enjoy an unforgettable hike. If you want to do something new, prepare a postcard and mail it to the mailbox at the top of the mountain, Japan's highest post office. Once at the top, you can enjoy Japanese cuisine in the restaurants at the top of the mountain and bring back memories and take great photos!

The cloud forest of Monteverde - Costa Rica

The cloud forest of Monteverde - Costa Rica

For a natural site, this name inspires dreams. National parks and protected reserves represent 25% of Costa Rica's territory and about a hundred species are discovered each year in this luxuriant nature, the temple of biodiversity or paradise for nature lovers. Monteverde is considered as the "lung" of Costa Rica, by going there with family or friends you can meet animals, as well as local communities. The presence of this fog is in fact necessary for the survival of the many species of the territory, the clouds present in this area contain humidity that meets the vital needs of Monteverde's animal and plant species.

The white desert of the Lençois Maranheses - Brazil

The white desert of the Lençois Maranheses - Brazil

In the northeast of Brazil is a desert of white sand dunes. From the sky, you may wonder what the blue spots between the dunes are, it is fresh water from the rains that is nestled in the hollows of the dunes and forms beautifully coloured blue lagoons, all over 150,000 hectares. Lagoons are not the same all year round, for example between December and April they can be more or less dry. Swimming is allowed but you can also choose to fly over the dunes by private plane or use public transport which will drop you off not far from the desert. The white desert of Brazil is an absolutely spectacular landscape that you will not forget.
