Only separated by a small strait and accessible by car directly from the mainland, Lefkada or Lefkada is an island, member of the Ionian Islands archipelago, west of mainland Greece. With its 1000 meter high peaks, its stunning beaches, its green pine forests, and its many small traditional villages with authentic architecture, Lefkada has a lot to offer for a holiday with your family, friends, or as a couple.
So what are you waiting for? Fly to Lefkada!

Today, let's head for Lefkada, a small Greek pearl in the middle of the Ionian Sea, to discover all the treasures and riches that this small island holds.

Admire the beauty of Porto Katsiki

Admire the beauty of Porto Katsiki

Regularly ranked among the world's most beautiful beaches, Porto Katsiki beach will never cease to amaze you. Located about 40km southwest of the capital, near the village of Athani, Porto Katsiki offers a wonderful and impressive landscape. The sheer white cliffs form a magnificent wild backdrop to the almost unreal blue sea and the lush vegetation covering the rock like a sheet of greenery. To get there, a staircase was carved into the cliff face. You can also choose to come by water taxi from Nydri or Vassiliki. This beach day, unlike any other, will be a unique experience.

Walking around Lefkada city

Lefkada, in the northern part of the island, has a charming setting for strolling through its narrow streets. Take a stroll down Wilhelm Dörpfeld Street, the town's main pedestrian street, and discover pretty, colorful houses and small churches of remarkable charm. You can also stop off at one of the many small restaurants along this avenue to end the day with a taste of the island's culinary specialties. If you are fond of culture, visit the many museums of the city: the Archaeology Museum of Agios Ioannis Antzoussis, the Phonograph Museum of Santa Mavra, or the Monastery of Faneromeni, in the church of Hodegetria.

Enjoy a sunset at Cape Lefkada

Known as Lady's Cape or Lefkada Jump, Lefkada Cape offers a breathtaking view of the Ionian Sea from cliffs over 70 meters high. If you have the chance, come at sunset, when the sun tints the ocean with beautiful reddish colors. But if the beauty of this place is undeniable, its history is much darker. According to legend, many human sacrifices were carried out here. Offenders have pushed off the cliffs and finished off below if they were still alive.
