The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon

If you wish to have access to the largest private art collections in Europe, the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon is the place to go. The museum is named after the art collector Gulbenkian, a businessman of English, Armenian origin, who in 1956 created a foundation in his name with the aim of spreading art and culture throughout the world. In this museum, you will be able to observe several works of art and can choose between two circuits: the Greco-Roman circuit with works dating back to antiquity where you can find ancient pieces from Egypt, Mesopotamia, or Armenia. The European art tour is also interesting and you can find paintings, sculptures and old literary works. The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon is worth a visit!

While in Florence in Tuscany, visit the Uffizi Gallery ("office" in Italian). It is one of the most important museums in Italy and one of the most popular with tourists, as it is located near the famous Piazza della Signoria. If you admire the Italian Renaissance period, you will be conquered by the gallery as it offers access to priceless works of art such as 3-meter high period paintings and impressive sculptures. Open since the 16th century on request in Italy, the gallery finally became accessible to the general public in 1865 and has been a great success ever since. The works of art in the offices are a gift from the last heiress of the Medici family, Anna Maria-Luisa, to the city of Florence. If you are passing through Tuscany and wish to visit a museum in the Italian Renaissance, the Uffizi Gallery is the place to go!

André Heller opened an amusement park for Swarovski in 1955 with a surprising design, including a museum, a park, a retail shop and a restaurant. Located near Innsbruck in Austria, the main element of this cultural complex was the giant fountain, which represents a face and is covered with grass, perfectly integrated into the environment. At the museum, discover incredible rooms such as a hall filled with crystals, contemporary artworks and a playground for children. It is advisable to get your tickets in advance to make sure you don't miss out on this museum so that you can visit Austria at your own pace!
