Packing for Asia? Don't forget anything!

With 43 million square kilometres of land and 4.3 billion inhabitants, Asia is the largest continent in the world and inhabits about 60% of the world's population. Its varied territories offer the continent a rich and attractive biodiversity for tourists. From Cambodia to Dubai, via Thailand and Bali, you can see the landscapes as if in a book. Asia also hosts the most popular countries for tourists, who make you dream with their paradisiac landscapes and dream beaches. As for the diversity of the landscape, the weather and the Asian culture, it is important to know what you should bring with you in your suitcase, that is why Villanovo has prepared a short guide for you!

Plan ahead for the weather

Plan ahead for the weather

If you have planned a trip to Asia this summer, beware of the monsoon season and pack your suitcase according to the weather. Remember to bring rain gear and a change of clothes in case your clothes take on water. This advice applies particularly to Laos, which has 28 rainy days in July, as well as Thailand! However, if you have already planned your trip, you can adapt your activities according to the weather, such as museums, restaurants and temples
Let's go to the sun! As for the countries where life is good in August, head to Indonesia: Bali or Lombok, the Maldives, as well as Cambodia. In Asian countries during the summer months, the temperature can be very dry so plan to withstand dry, sometimes stifling heat. For this, you can opt for breathable, light and comfortable clothing. You may not necessarily have the most glamorous outfit, but you will be happy to withstand the heat quite well with the right clothes. In addition, consider taking off-road boots, especially if you want to tackle a short hike on Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world with an elevation of 8,850 metres. If you prefer to have your head underwater rather than in the clouds, check out the most beautiful diving sites in Asia.

Small things to bring which save your trip

Small things to bring which save your trip

Asia is a hot country in summer, despite the rain. Once there, you should check the UV index and bring your sun cream so you don't get sunburned, which would prevent you from enjoying your villa overlooking the sea. Especially in Thailand where some days may seem grey because of the rains, the sun is actually very present! In addition, the dry and hot weather is conducive to mosquito bites, so before you go hiking in beautiful Laos, brush yourself with tropical mosquito repellent cream or bring protective clothing.
Also remember to bring a good book and something to capture crazy memories in Asia!
Concerning medicine, it is wise to take something to treat possible digestive disorders, because it is not advisable to drink tap water in some Asian countries and it may also be that the change of air disrupts your balance and causes fevers. It is essential to be well prepared to make the most of your trip and stay in good conscience!
