Andalusia, Spain

Andalusia, Spain

Located only 3 hours from the United Kingdom, this beautiful region in southern Spain which welcomes around 10 million visitors annually is ideal for a holiday with friends but also with children. To begin, Andalusia is blessed with delightful weather all year round with over 300n days of sun per year. The best time to visit depends on everyone, for example those who enjoy visiting museums and hiking might prefer to go in the Spring to be able to do these activities far away from the crowd of the summer months. June, July, August and September are however the optimal months to make the most of the beautiful beaches which have crystal clear waters and white sand. These are perfect for children to play on and are usually shallow which is great for children. Andalousia also possesses some theme parks, mainly located around Malaga, which children normally enjoy visiting. Older children will love Tarifa, located not far from Sotogrande, for its wind and waves which provide the perfect setting for watersports such as kitesurfing or windsurfing. Away from the coasts, the Andalusian countryside also provides an enjoyable setting for children with its verdant vegetation and open spaces.

To optimise your stay, why not rent a villa near the beach or with a private swimming pool? In that way, you can make the most of the beautiful weather by relaxing on a sunlounger by the pool, away from the crowds, or on the beach, feet in the water.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai, often referred to as the city of gold, is a destination which entertains all ages due to the abundance of activities available. It is important to note that Dubai is not actually far away from Europe, with flights from France and the United Kingdom lasting around 6 hours. The great advantage of this magnificent city is its weather, which allows for a multitude of children-friendly activities to take part in. As well as the obvious activities which include visiting the outstanding Burj Khalifa, the Burj Al-Arab or sunbathing on a beach, Dubai offers other exciting activities which will delight children. Kidzania is an amazing educational amusement which teaches children how to act like adults and allows them to play at being a grown-up. This is an entertaining experience as well as being educational, a win-win! Furthermore, a visit to Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is a must and will entertain both young and old alike. To carry on on the theme of entertaining activities for all ages, why not pay a visit to the Aquaventure Water located on Palm Jumeirah in the Atlantis Hotel complex. Last but not least, being built in a desert, Dubai offers the possibility of going on desert adventures which can range from a camel ride to a buggy ride or even a weekend camping in the sand dunes.

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

Mauritius, Indian Ocean

Mauritius, pearl of the Indian Ocean, is becoming increasingly popular for a family holiday due to the abundance of activities that it offers as well as its quality of life. If the weather, gastronomy and lifestyle was not enough to seduce you and your family, then let us enchant you with some of Mauritius’s best qualities.  This island-nation offers both inland and water based activities to suit all ages and all desires. Renowned for its beautiful crystal clear water and outstanding submarine life, why not swim with dolphins while in Mauritius? This timeless activity pleases both adults and children and can be organised through a variety of agencies on the island for a perfect day out. Glass-bottomed boat rides are also a must while in Mauritius to fully admire the coral reefs. These are safe and entertaining  and allow children to learn about various fish species and to snorkel if they wish to do so. To continue on the theme of water based activities, Mauritius is also renowned for its scuba-diving which is done with professionals, water skiing, surfing or even parachuting for thrill seekers.

Mauritius is as beautiful inland as it is underwater and this can be admired at Casela Nature Park, located on the west of the island. This beautiful 14 hectare nature park is ideal to discover incredible fauna and flora as well as animals such as white lions, tigers and cheetahs. Much to the delight of the children, there are zip-lining opportunities as well as camel rides, which enable one to connect with nature.
