The most beautiful beaches in Formentera

Formentera, the neighbouring island of Ibiza, is also home to unspoilt nature. Its white sandy beaches and transparent turquoise waters make it a true paradise on earth! Moreover, its waters are of a remarkable quality. This is due to the presence of a large quantity of posidonia in the Mediterranean Sea (marine plants recognised as a natural asset by UNESCO). These plants provide oxygen and organic matter, essential for biodiversity.

Ses Illettes

In the north of the island, on the Es Trucadors peninsula to the west, stands one of Formentera's most famous beaches. This long stretch of white sand stretches for more than 450 metres. Its shallow turquoise waters make it the perfect pool for your children. Located in the Ses Salines Natural Park of Ibiza and Formentera, you will discover a protected nature. Ses Ilettes owes its name to the small islets that line the coast and blend in perfectly with the landscape. Don't leave without having set foot on this sublime beach, which has been declared the most beautiful beach in the world on several occasions.

Llevant

Similar and close to Ses Illetes, Llevant is less crowded. If you are looking for a quiet and unspoilt spot, this is the beach for you. Cross the dunes and forest that separate the salt flats from the sea before reaching the clear waters and fine sand that extend for almost 1500 metres.

Both beaches are part of the Ses Salines Natural Park of Ibiza and Formentera, so the dune is highly protected. Access by car is subject to a fee in order to favour more environmentally friendly transport.

This biodiversity makes the northern part the best place for diving

In addition, there are many small restaurants along the beach, the perfect opportunity to enjoy Mediterranean dishes right next to the sea.

Es Pujol

Another beach located to the north, it extends in the continuity of Llevant. Like all the beaches of Formentera, it is an authentic and unspoilt beach, although more urban and lively.
