Les Baux de Provence, peaceful tourism

In the heart of the rocky landscapes of the Alpilles, rising above fields of olive and almond trees, the village of Les Baux-de-Provence is instantly recognisable thanks to the impressive castle that overlooks it. This perched village in Provence is full of ancient treasures, including the chapels, the town hall and the old hospital.  The tourist office offers a mapped itinerary so that you can discover them at your leisure.
Don't miss the superb view from the remains of the fortress castle built on a high rocky outcrop, which extends to the south-west of the village with a panorama as far as Aix-en-Provence on one side and Arles and the Camargue on the other.

The charming village of Saint Remy de Provence

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is a cultural and historical Mecca, the very definition of Provençal charm and art de vivre, attracting a host of celebrities and anonymous people who have come to recharge their batteries in this privileged environment. It is one of the oldest cities in France. The capital of the Alpilles is also associated with Van Gogh. The painter spent the last year of his life in the town's asylum, where he painted, among other things, the famous "self-portrait with a bandaged ear". During his years in the village, Van Gogh painted more than 150 pictures, including many of those for which he is most famous. Listen to your desires and discover the small village of Saint Remy de Provence.
