The North

The North

The north of the island is by far the most touristic region of Mauritius. It is popular amongst a crowd who enjoys going out and having fun, due to the variety of clubs and bars there are in the area. The renowned beach of Grand-baie is located in the north, where visitors can take advantage of the variety of water activities which are on offer such as scuba diving or kite surfing. As well as having splendid beaches such as Trou aux Biches, which is home to impressive coral reefs, or Pereybère, which is greatly appreciated by locals, the north of Mauritius is also home to various sight-seeing spots such as the Chateau de Labourdonnais. After a day of cultural visits, or of glorious shopping on Sunset Boulevard, enjoy an explosion of taste in one of Mauritius’ exquisite restaurants, such as the Chateau Mon Desir.

The East

The East

The easter coast of Mauritius is home to the prestigious beach of Belle-Mare, which itself is home to a large number of high-end hotel resorts, as well as being the starting point of a trek to the 1575-foot Lion Mountain. This region of Mauritius is enjoyed by families mainly due to the various activities it offers. It is well-known for being quite windy in winter, which can appear to be inconvenient, but it is mainly an advantage for kitesurf amateurs.The Belle-Mare bay hides a beautiful coral reef barrier, so get your goggles on for some snorkelling or scuba diving for thrill seekers! Last but not least, the gorgeous Ile aux Cerfs island is located on the eastern coast of Mauritius, a little piece of paradise worth a visit. The West

The West

This beautiful and natural region of Mauritius located 50 kilometres from the airport is widely appreciated by those who are looking for a perfect balance between tranquility and fun. There, visitors will find the famous beach of Flic-en-Flac, which consists of 3 kilometres of warm white sand and emerald water and is bordered by filao trees which provide some shade to enjoy a relaxing siesta after lunch. Take part in thrilling sensations by practicing some surfing on the famous “One Eye” surfing spot located not far from the impressive Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which reprents the struggle for freedom in slavery. Hikers are in heaven on the east coast with the famous Black River Gorges where hikes offer breathtaking views. To end the day perfectly, try out some fish vindaye, an unmissable local dish, in one of the many restaurants in Flic-en-Flac, before heading to a bar to taste some delicious local rum.

The South

The South

Southern Mauritius is by far the wildest in terms of fauna and flora but also the least touristic region of the island, ideal for holidays in complete peace and serenity. In the South East is found Blue Bay , a wonder of the island where all sort of ecosystem is protected by the Marine Park. This is the perfect spot for some snorkeling, or scuba diving for the most adventurous ones, a major activity in the south of Mauritius! Blue Bay also provides the opportunity for glass bottom boat excursions which are great for family outings. With the little animation available in this region, Bel Ombre, in the South West of Mauritius, is the tourist hub due to the various golf courses and spas dotted around but also for the wide range of activities it offers such as swimming with the dolphins.
