With its timeless villages of quiet cobbled streets, wild, windswept beaches and picturesque salt marshes, the infinitely charming Ile de Ré is the island jewel of the Charente Maritime. From Les Portes-en-Ré to Le-Bois-Plage-en-Ré, Villanovo has selected the finest luxury properties, including many villas in Île de Ré with swimming pools, and traditional cottages for you to enjoy the family break you deserve.
Our selection of luxury villas have many of the features you have come to expect from a Villanovo property, including tasteful design, beautiful, well-kept gardens and outdoor dining areas, bright kitchens and intimate spaces for you and your loved ones to curl up and relax in after a day exploring the local markets and unspoilt beaches of the 'ile blanche'.
Meanwhile, if you want 'the good life' to become just a little bit better, then consider renting a luxury villa with a heated swimming pool. The Ile de Ré has plenty of places to swim along its swathes of unspoilt beaches, but if you prefer to visit out of season, you might find the Atlantic a little chilly for your liking. In which case, a villa with a heated pool might be just the thing.
This delightful island is home to some gorgeous traditional houses and luxury properties: from stylish designer villas to rustic homes and even converted windmills. You can experience a little bit of the good life near to the centre of some of the most beautiful villages in France and the cosy harbour villages of Les Portes-en-Ré. From something more chic and modern to the rustic charm of the island's more traditional houses, there really is something for everyone.
At Villanovo, we like to know that our guests have enjoyed the luxury break that they deserve. That is why we offer you the experience, expertise and local knowledge of our dedicated concierge service to assist in the planning and smooth-running of your perfect escape. Perfect location for families with teens. Everything is a short bike ride away. Wonderful beach. Great ice cream at Le Phare, Saint-Clément-des-Baleines. Loved the Ars-en-Ré market
The chef Jean Marie Montelus, surf lessons at Surf'in Ré, and biking with Beach Bikes were a ton of fun.
We loved Ile de Re and will be back, we particularly enjoyed the beaches and cycle routes around the Island, Special mention to Les vélos de l'île de ré who provided our Bikes :-).
Le Bois plage was an excellent location. Close to markets, shops and beech. Short cycle away from St Martin. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would book again overall.
Le Bois is a very pleasant village to stay in. Plenty of shops. Beach bar was good, much improved from last year. Lots of easy cycle paths to other villages
Beach fabulous and so close to villa in Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré
Excellent market in Bois Plage
Boulangerie 2 minutes cycle from house (Maison Marin) as is excellent ice cream/waffle at La Martiniere
Beach bar 2 minutes from house. Nice food and lively atmosphere
We enjoyed riding our bikes from Ars to St Martin, through the salt fields and trying oysters along the way.
We also loved going to the market in Ars and the bakery in the mornings.
The beach was also so close to ride our bike to.
