The beach at Le Bois was fantastic and the cycling paths really good to use.
The market at Le Bois was also very convenient and a very high standard of produce.
The Beach Bar was lovely.
Cycling!
Beach at Bois-Plage-en-Re 2 minute cycle away from the villa
Maison Marin Boulangerie and La martinière ice cream shop 2 minutes in other direction
Market also 2 minutes away and made cooking on holidays a treat as so many delicious fresh ingredients to choose from
It was our first time in Île de Ré and our whole family (even the difficult-to-please teenager) loved it. We rented bikes locally (with a Villanovo discount) and cycled everywhere. The town of Le Bois-Plage en Ré was delightful too, with a lovely market in the mornings. Will definitely be back!
Beach bar, Les Bois Flottais, Ocean were the restaurants we enjoyed most. Through the tourist centre in St Martin we found an English speaking guide to take us all day around the island.
