Opting for a taxi is a good idea when traveling from the airport to your villa in Mauritius.

For your daily travels, the choice of a taxi is a good one, but it is not the only one. Taxis are the way to get around with peace of mind: you will find them at any time, quite easily, without having to worry about gas or parking. The rates are kinda high, but they can negotiate them the usual way! Bus: the most authentic

Bus: the most authentic

Why not get around by bus from time to time. It is the most economical means of transport as it will not cost you more than a symbolic one euro per journey. Commonly used by Mauritians, you will be immersed in the local population: a way to discover the daily life of the locals authentically. As a practical matter, the bus network covers the whole island, but logically, the routes can be long and may not correspond exactly to where you want to go. Taking the bus every day is not the most comfortable and flexible way to discover Mauritius, although it is worth the diversions for a few trips.

Car rental with or without driver: the most comfortable

Car rental with or without driver: the most comfortable

Renting a car in Mauritius will allow you to be completely free as soon as you leave the airport. Allowing you to organize your holiday as you prefer, and discover the island according to your desires. It is also a good option if you are with your family. You will be able to adapt your driving and stop whenever you want. However, in addition to the lesser signage than in Mauritius, Mauritians drive on the left! The traffic is dense and, many two-wheelers are present on the roads. In short, if you are a Parisian, there is nothing different! A little time of adaptation will inevitably be necessary, but the comfort gained is often worth it. If you want to travel in peace, you can also opt for a driver who will show you around the island as you wish.

Finally, the more adventurous can travel by scooter or bicycle. Alone or as a couple, hiring a two-wheeler can ensure an unforgettable escapade, with your hair blowing in the wind!
