Exception palace from the 19th century, particularly elegant, with 10 rooms, surrounded by a beautiful Italian garden with large outdoor pool and indoor pool.
This palatial villa merits its prestigious reputation, not least because of an extensive and skillful restoration, undertaken with an unwavering passion that respects her original features.
The villa dates back to 1854 when it was built by a German family, the Hohenlohe Waldienburg Shillingfurst’s, who had owned the land since 1848. In 1904, due to its location in Tuscany being too far from their main residence, the family decided to sell it to the then Prince of Savoie Aoste, who in turn passed it down to Duke Amédée d’Aoste. It was he who revived agricultural production on its lands, as well as putting to use the main building and surrounding holiday homes. In 1993, seduced by the calm and beauty of the area, Ferruccio Ferragamo decided to buy the entire holding and give it a new lease of life; a long and delicate restoration project was thus begun.
Today a stunningly refined, neo-classical villa greets the visitor, with 10 bedrooms, each boasting a private bathroom. Bombed during the Second World War, the villa was still in a state of disrepair when Ferrucio Ferragamo bought the property. The subsequent renovation project was, therefore, a long and arduous undertaking, in order to restore it to its original size and splendour. The result, however, is one of the most luxurious of Tuscan properties, architecturally true to the great houses of 19th Century Tuscany. Impressive facades blend with finer romantic details to give Villa Fiama a unique and exclusive air that will appeal to the most discerning of tastes, whilst her design perfectly complements her surrounding grounds.
The villa is also a refuge, ideal for private events and those seeking a haven of peace that is fully serviced by discreet and attentive staff. A four poster bed and expensive tapestries are only two examples of the finesse that defines the interior, which houses 10 bedrooms with en-suites and dressing rooms, spread over two floors. Additional facilities include a stately dining room, office, heated indoor pool, mini-gym and billiard room.
Outside a Renaissance-style Italian garden awaits, circling the villa and with a central fountain that only adds to the elegance of the estate.
Ensuring the highest levels of service, staff is on hand from morning to night. With her magical setting, wonderful moments are on offer, not least the opportunity to enjoy the culinary delights of Tuscan cuisine, reputedly one of the best in the world.
A harmonious blend of luxury, elegance and conviviality greets the visitor, framed by an environment where attention to detail gives Villa Fiama her own special charm.
