1. Massaman Curry - Thailand

Curry is the spice that can turn a banal dish into a real gastronomic dish in no time at all! And it is without a doubt that Massaman Curry ranks first in the ranking of the best dishes in the world.
Of all the varieties of Thai curry, Massaman curry is considered to be the sweetest and most unusual. It consists of meat (beef, chicken and sometimes lamb or mutton), potatoes, curry paste and coconut milk. The spices used in curry can vary, but generally include cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon and pepper, which is mixed with garlic, chilli, galangal and lemongrass. It is then left to simmer and can be found in small street restaurants as well as in the most famous places.
Even if its origin is a bit vague, it is assumed that this dish came from central or southern Thailand with Islamic traders who came from the Middle East and India.

The Neapolitan Pizza - Italy

It is not surprising to see an Italian dish appear on the podium, its simple and delicious gastronomy is famous all over the world.
The origins of pizza date back to the Romans and Greeks who baked flatbreads topped with spices and olive oil. Then the real pizza as we know it today, made with tomato sauce, cheese and other toppings, was born in Naples in the 18th century as a cheap food perfect for feeding the peasants.
The recipe for Neapolitan pizza is highly codified, and in 2017 it will become part of the UNESCO's intangible heritage. It is made with quality wheat flour, morning salt, fresh tomatoes, olive oil and basil. It must then be cooked in a wood-fired oven. Of course, the pizzaiolo's incomparable know-how is added to this.
