SUP on the bay of Santa Giulia

SUP on the bay of Santa Giulia

Corsica is famous for its heavenly beaches and turquoise waters. With its wooden pontoon stretching out to sea, Santa-Giulia is one of the most beautiful beaches in Porto-Vecchio. Under the sun, discover one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island in a fun way. Standing on your board, paddle on the water while trying to keep your balance. Accessible to all, paddling is a friendly activity that the whole family will enjoy. Whether you are in relaxation or sport mode, paddle in the middle of the bay while admiring the sea bed and the surrounding nature. Moreover, this sport will offer you a different point of view, which you won't have from the mainland.

Visit the Cerbicales Islands

5 kilometres from Porto-Vecchio, head for the Cerbicales islands! This preserved archipelago is home to a variety of fauna and flora, including birds, fish, dolphins and turtles. These islands are inaccessible, which makes them a privileged place for diving. Dive centres will take you as close as possible to the islands, but it is forbidden to dock there. During your marine exploration you will come across wrecks and various fish. If you set foot on the beach of Palombaggia, it is possible to see this archipelago.

South Corsica is the perfect opportunity to make your first dive!

Discover the local products

Open to visitors all year round, the Domaine de Torraccia is divided between the production of olive oil and wine. Respectful of the environment, the vines are cultivated without weed killers or pesticides. The wines from the estate are organic and come from ancient Corsican grape varieties, Sciaccarellu and Niellucciu, Vermentinu. An ancestral know-how that has been passed down from father to son at the Domaine de Torracia. The green olives are harvested by hand before being taken to the mill to extract their oil. These regional products are available for tasting at the estate or in the shop. They are perfect gifts for your loved ones!

Between the sea and the mountains, come and discover Corsica in a different way by immersing yourself in these agricultural lands. Stroll through the vineyards, enjoy a glass of wine or take an unusual ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

Visit an archaeological site

Go back in time by visiting the sites of Cucuruzzu and Capula. Built in the heart of the forest, Cucuruzzu is a fortified village dating from the Bronze Age. It was discovered in 1959 by the archaeologist Roger Grosjean, who conducted excavations there. If you want to know more, the Museum of La Roca houses the remains discovered during his research. One of the best preserved buildings is the Torra, a stone shelter that was probably used to store food. A few steps away is another archaeological site, the medieval chapel of Capula. This walk in the forest is an ideal family outing during which you will see the Aiguilles de Bavella.
