Sirmione 

Sirmione is a peninsula on Lake Garda. A medieval and fairytale atmosphere, it was one of the favourite places of the opera diva Maria Callas. Stroll along its beaches, wander the streets and discover the town of Sirmione.
 
  • Santa Maria Maggiore: a 15th century church with various religious frescoes
  • Rocca Scaligera Castle: many towns in Northern Italy have a castle, Sirmione is no exception. Facing the lake, this 13th century castle was built to protect the town. It is completely surrounded by water and has a harbour, and is one of the main symbols of the town. To relax after your visit, go to the Maria Callas park, a few steps from the castle.
  • Grotta di Catullo: contrary to what its name might suggest, this is not a cave but the remains of a Roman villa. This archaeological park covers more than 20,000 square metres and is sure to delight history buffs. This ancient villa is said to have belonged to the family of the poet Catullus.
  • Beaches: Sirmione has many beaches and its waters are renowned for their benefits. The most popular beach is Jamaica, located at the tip of the coast. It is the ideal place to swim and refresh yourself in the lake water!

Riva del Garda

Marked by its colourful houses and mountains, Riva del Garda is the second largest town on Lake Garda. The historic centre contains the city's main monuments. Walk through the San Marco gate and let yourself be transported back in time. 
 
  • Discover the various squares of the city, from Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi to Piazza San Rocco, including the most famous, Piazza 3 Novembre, which houses the Torre Apponale, a 13th century belfry overlooking the colourful houses. Climb the steps of this tower and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.
  • La Rocca des Scaliger: this rectangular fortress on the lakefront houses exhibitions and the civil museum. 
  • The beaches: this is a seaside town, you can sail, swim and also book a cruise on the lake. The nearest beach is the Spiaggia Sabbioni.

Desenzano del Garda

The largest town on Lake Garda, lively streets, beaches, small churches and a port that combines tradition and modernity, this is what awaits you in Desenzano del Garda.
 
  • Porto Vecchio: stroll through the picturesque streets of the old town before reaching the old port. Luxury yachts and traditional boats coexist in Porto Vecchio. You will also find gondolas, from which you can enjoy a different view of the city from the lake. Nearby, in Piazza Malvezzi, you can enjoy the many shops and restaurants. Don't forget to try the Italian cuisine!
  • Villa Romana di Desenzano del Garda: facing the lake, this archaeological site reveals the remains of a Roman villa built in -1 BC. BC. Today you can admire the mosaics, statues and some structures, divided into 3 areas.
  • Castello di Desenzano del Garda: from the heights of this medieval castle you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the town and the lake.
  • The beaches: you can go swimming on one of the 3 beaches of Desenzano del Garda, the Oro beach, the Rivoltella beach and the Desenzano beach.

Malcesine

Situated on the north-eastern shore, this charming Italian town faces the lake. You can sail, boat and kitesurf in front of the gigantic mountains. It is the ideal place for nature lovers. 
 
  • Castello Scaligero di Malcesine: from the heights of this 13th century castle you have a 360 degree view of the town, the lake and Mount Baldo. It houses 2 museums, one on the natural history of the area and another on the German poet Goethe.
  • Monte Baldo: in the background, behind the city, there are mountains, accessible by cable car. At an altitude of over 1,700 metres, you will be surrounded by a variety of flora and fauna, and the scenery is magnificent. Known as the botanical garden of Europe, you will be amazed by the alpine plants cohabiting with olive and beech trees. At the top you will find a small café to rest and eat, before going on to explore the nature on a hike. The sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona is located on this mountain.
