Known as one of the best-preserved areas of the Canary Islands, the trail of Lobo, with its 5km2 of extension, allows you to savour a variety of natural treasures-- from salt marshes to volcanic cone formations called "hornitos". This route encircles the islet, leading to the quay of the Martiño lighthouse. On the way back, one can explore the former settlement for the island's fishermen and shellfish gatherers. This route covers 7 km, and its most prominent features are the Marrajo salt marshes and the Martiño lighthouse, which in 1865 recorded the first permanent human occupation on the island.
