In the heart of the Périgord Vert, a few kilometers from Brantôme, this magnificent medieval castle built between the Renaissance and the 17th century on medieval remains was superbly renovated in 2019. Located near an old Roman road, in a quiet area, in the countryside, the Château offers high quality services for a refined and authentic stay in an exceptional setting. Its 11 rooms can accommodate up to 22 people in 3 buildings : Le Grand Logis, Le Petit Logis and La Tour Carrée.

Indoors

The chateau has three areas: Le Grand Logis, Le Petit Logis and La Tour Carrée

Le Grand Logis : 
In the Grand Logis, there are two very comfortable lounges on the ground floor, an elegant connecting dining room with a spacious fully equipped kitchen. 5 double bedrooms are spread over the two floors, each with a private bathroom in light marble and toilet. One of the bedrooms, the precious “bridal suite”, is nestled at the top of a historic tower.
The interior decoration is elegant and modest, combining historical reminders, modern design and soft colors.
The small living room overlooking the rose garden and the terrace has a three-seater sofa, two armchairs and a decorative fireplace.
The dining room with a large table that can accommodate 14 people, its two double glazed doors give access either to the terrace or to the interior courtyard. It communicates with the kitchen where all the necessary crockery is located in a large wall cabinet. The kitchen is fully equipped and has Mareuil stone worktops, a central island with low storage. In the back kitchen is a large refrigerator with freezer drawers. Under the porch is the laundry room with washer-dryer, and ironing set. Alongside the kitchen, the large living room offers a perfect relaxing environment with its sofa and 19th century fireplace.)

Le Petit Logis :
This building, which is suitable for receptions, has two large and bright pass-through living rooms (55m² and 65m²). They are accessible by a monumental staircase. This guest house provides all the necessary amenities to accommodate 120 guests – including guests with disabilities and reduced mobility.
This guest house has 4 bedrooms to accommodates up to 8 guests.

La Tour Carrée :
Two magnificent bedrooms with private bathrooms are available in this building, in order to increase the reception capacities of the Château de Chanet. They are independent and accessible from the outside either by the terrace or the porch.

Outdoors

Take advantage of the heated private swimming pool located on the heights of the park, overlooking the surrounding nature for moments of perfect relaxation. It measures 10m x 5m (depth 1.50m flat bottom) with secure curtain.
The private park of almost one hectare will charm you with its spaces, between rose garden, alley of scents, esplanades you will take the time to discover the best that the Périgord Vert offers, the luxury of space.

The distance to the nearest airport (Bergerac) is about 100 km. - The nearest TGV station is Angoulême's, about 45 km away. You can find the closest supermarket of Vieux Mareuil 4 km from the castle. All local shops, restaurants and shops and 8 km away in le Mareuil.
