In the heart of a pristine natural environment, in the shade of hundred-year-old plane trees, stands the Moulin Péline, watching over the Hérault which, at its feet, flows peacefully towards the Mediterranean. With a history of nearly 10 centuries, it was last used in 1918 and is a witness to the history of the region. Listed as a Historic Monument, this architectural masterpiece was entirely restored in 2016 to become a place of total immersion in nature, perfect an exceptional stay with family or friends.

Indoors 

Inside, the mill has been arranged as a large family home. However, each floor can be considered independently. Set in a green environment, it is a discreet and privileged refuge for an original family stay. In this imposing residence, fitted out with finesse and elegance, the purity and patina of the old materials, the originality of the furniture and antique objects and the soft comfort of the modern furniture are perfectly combined. All the windows offer a privileged view of the beauty of the site.
Under its imposing pentagonal frame and century-old beams, the first floor offers three bedrooms, each with a splendid view of the neighbouring vineyards and the tumbling river.
On the garden level, two further bedrooms have their own bathroom. The living room on the same level has a fantastic terrace overlooking the white water.


Outdoors​ 

This atypical address for an unforgettable stay, offer a beautiful wilderness setting with remarkable flora and fauna. You can relax in the garden, a veritable balcony perched above the river where oleanders, fig trees, Aleppo pines and plane trees bloom, and enjoy a return to your roots by bathing in the river, a veritable natural pool. Here, time is suspended, the place invites you to let go and rest, helped by the rocking of the water and the quietness of the surrounding nature.

The price includes bath amenities and the final housekeeping.
The villa also offers to its guests the possibility of optional services such as housekeeping, chef services, breakfast.
Note: Check-in: 16:00 h - Check-out: 11:00 h on Saturday and weekdays. On Sundays and public holidays late check-out is offered.


Location

The mill stands on a bucolic setting, on the banks of the Hérault river which flows serenely towards the Mediterranean.
In the heart of a region that places craftsmanship and local produce at the centre of its concerns, it evolves surrounded by exceptional flora in a space where time seems to have stopped. In this region with thousand-year-old traditions, the joyful atmosphere is shaped by the mixture of the ochre of the earth and the salt of the sea.
On the one hand, the Thau Lagoon, known for its oysters, and on the other hand, the numerous private mansions of the historic town of Pézenas.
A little further afield, venture to Saint Guilhem de Désert, a major stopover on the way to Santiago de Compostela, or dream of knights and princesses in the medieval city of Carcassonne.
