Indoors

The main house offers 8 spacious bedrooms where guest can relax in their elegantly furnished bedroom all bright and airy, with ensuite bathrooms and TV, while some have balconies with jaw-dropping views. The Villa looks and feels just as good on the inside, whether you are sharing moments with your loved ones or hitting the gym, the hammam or the sauna. There are a number of inside dining spaces, and shaded dining for al fresco meals overlooking the pool and sea views. Two fully equipped kitchens are available. Annexed to the main house, there is the adjoining separate apartment with its own kitchen. This is especially handy for those seeking some extra privacy and is particularly convenient for multi-generation families, or for accommodating an accompanying member of staff. The lower ground floor is home to a gymnasium, a lounge area, 2 saunas and a hammam wet room to enhance a luxury stay.


Outdoors

The magnificent pool is the place to spend long lazy days under the Corinthian sun and the terraces are perfect for an evening meal looking out the sea. Direct access to a fabulous sandy beach is a bonus too. After a lovely day out, chill out in the pool and make use of the ground floor showers to get rid of the sand. The lounge is a very sociable room with comfortable sofas and a wide screen TV. Two covered terraces with an open fireplace, ideal for cooler evenings chatting late over a drink while the culinarian in your company will be happy preparing a barbecue in a stone BBQ. For anyone wanting to tie the knot, the on site poolside chapel is somewhere really special for an intimate ceremony surrounded by loved ones.

Flanked by verdant mountains, with pine trees cascading down to the water’s edge and clear turquoise-blue waters, Porto Germeno is one of the Athenians’ favourite hideaways, with good reason. The story begins in antiquity with the erection of the city of Aigosthena, on this strategically important spot that connects the Peloponnese to Attica and Boeotia. According to historical accounts and archaeological finds, this prosperous ancient town remained in use from the Geometric period through to post-Byzantine times. The imposing remains include an 18th-meter high tower on the northeast side of the former acropolis as well as a Palaiochristian Basilica.

History buffs will also be fascinated by the antique tales hiding behind these sights - such as the story of seer and healer Melambodas who spoke the language of the birds and therefore could forewarn humans. Yet historical interest aside, Porto Germeno has something for nature lovers and foodies too, with beautiful, popular beaches and some great tavernas with authentic, traditional cuisine.
