Indoors
The property has had several famous owners, such as the Count of Santa Eulália Portuguese diplomat who sculpt the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which can be found in the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Lúzia, in Viana do Castelo) or Lord Peter Pitt Millward who made the property famous (direct descendant of the English Prime Minister William Pitt).
The property consists of a castle and an outbuilding (with a main house and 2 studios).
You will stay in the castle's outbuilding and will have the possibility to visit the noble floor of the manor house, as well as its balcony (on request).
The main house of the outbuilding offers seven suites connected to a three-storey tower, with a living room (with fireplace and Smart TV), a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The Meia-Lua consists of two studios, which have fully equipped kitchenettes.
All bedrooms and studios have quality linen, toiletries and individually adjustable air conditioning.
As a family property, many facilities can be provided to facilitate the stay of small children (such as cots, high chairs, appropriate cutlery and crockery, etc.).
You will also enjoy the property's beautiful heated indoor pool (27m) and the new yoga deck with 100 square meters (below the the outdoor pool and facing the lima valley).
Outdoors
The property offers large and beautiful exteriors.
You can enjoy a saltwater outdoor pool (28m), a tennis court, gardens, vineyard, orchards and a lake area.
Note: The villa is a farm with agricultural and poultry production, a rural space with animals and where three dogs roam freely.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times throughout the property. The adult guest is responsible for monitoring them (due the particular features of an 18th century property and because, besides the unsupervised pools, there are also tanks, lakes, balconies and uneven levels).
Staff & Services
You will have access to all grounds of the property and the possibility (on request) to visit the noble floor of the manor house, as well as its balcony.

Location
Minho is a region in the north of Portugal, known for its green land and blue sea. Ponte de Lima, the oldest village in the country, is a 15-minute drive away. It has Roman architecture and a bridge dating back to the 1st century. Its historic streets are ideal for strolling and sampling typical pastries. You can also choose to try kayaking on the Lima River.
The huge Peneda-Gerês National Nature Park, with its mountains, trails and waterfalls, is a 20-minute drive away. This nature lover's paradise covers 70,290 hectares. It is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and is therefore protected.
The town of Viana do Castelo and its beautiful beaches are 20 minutes away. Surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and wakeboarding are examples of popular activities. One of the most emblematic places in the city is the Sanctuary of Santa Luzia and its incredible views. The historic centre also has beautiful and well-preserved streets.
Note : To reach the property, as well as to explore the Minho wonders, you will need a car.
You are accomodated inside the secondary building of the property (Meia-Lua: Main House + 2 Studios) and not inside the Manor House (18th-century castle).
