Rent a charming property on the Costa Blanca

Trip on the Spanish coast: beaches, sun and nature

Referring to more than 240 km of coast in the province of Alicante, from Denia in the north to Torrevieja in the south, it gathers most of the tourist destinations including Benidorm and Alicante. Thanks to a sunny climate all year long, fine sand beaches and traditional Spanish night festivities, the Costa Blanca is a ideal destination for all visitors aiming to relax while still enjoying sublime landscapes on the coast. If the place is obviously great for beaches, it is also rich in History, natural spaces, and is perfect for kids. Villanovo invites you to discover some of the main activities on the coast.

Santa Barbara castle

On Mount Benacantil, at 169 meters of altitude, the fortified castle of Santa Barbara overcomes Alicante and testifies the historical heritage of the region, which does not only have beaches as assets. Although professionals found traces of human presence from Bronze Age on the mountains, the castle was however built on the 9th century, when the muslim dominated the south of the country. It is thus passionating to visit the preserved vestiges of this building. A windfall for History lovers! Also, to know more, head to the Archeological museum of Alicante, where guided visits and interactive games will teach you all there is to know about the Costa Blanca.

Natural spaces

On the Costa Blanca, the ones who like natural spaces, and especially outdoor sports, will treat themselves ! A must-see: the natural park of Montgo, in the north, in Denia, declared as such in 1987. Thanks to various landscapes, its impressive fauna and flora, this protected area provides a calm walk in the heart of Spanish nature. The parc provides 6 different roads, and it’s only yours to pick up the one you like the most! Another must-do to explore: the natural park of Torrevieja, which is a natural reserve known for its birds, but above all, for its pink waters. Incredible, isn’t it?
