What to do, where and when in Ibiza?


Ibiza is an island dedicated to leisure and celebration. Although the numerous bars and nightclubs are the trademark of the Mediterranean island, it also offers its visitors many shows and festivals to discover the local culture and folklore of the most famous island of the Balearic Islands.

Annual Events

The Carnival of Ibiza and Formentera:
End of March
A truly inevitable city. The carnival colours fill the streets for a few days. Young and old show their originality with costumes of all kinds. Activities are organised over several days such as concerts or the tasting of a giant omelette. On Sunday evening the traditional cavalcade of the Three Wise Men with the tasting of a giant paella is held. The carnival ends with the Entierro de la Sardina (literally the burial of the sardine) which symbolises the end of the Carnival and the beginning of Lent.

Saint John:
24th June 
Saint John is a very popular holiday in all the Balearic Islands and especially on the island of Menorca. The whole town buzzes, there is music and entertainment in the streets to celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice. A cultural highlight not to be missed during a stay in Ibiza.

Feast of Sant-Ciriac in Eivissa:
8th August 2017
Traditional festival in honour of the Reconquest. Let yourself be amazed by the spectacular fireworks. During the day there is also a giant picnic which is located below the magnificent enclosure of Puig des Molins.

Saboreando Octubre in Eivissa:
20th October to 2nd November 
This gourmet festival will delight food lovers. The aim of this festival is to promote local products to the delight of our taste buds.

San Mateo:
Second Saturday of December
For wine lovers, this festival is for you. Come wake up your taste buds with the tasting of local wines and sobrasada, the traditional sausages of the island.
