Everything related to Ancient Greece and the Classical Greece ethos permeates in the Peloponnese. With its multitude of magnificent ancient ruins, this peninsula is an ideal destination for the history buffs. One of the best highlights of Monemvasia is its location. It is perched on top of a rocky outcrop, 300 metres above sea level; giving it a privileged spot overlooking the crystal blue waters.
