Discover the beautiful region of Tuscany and its thermal waters. If you have decided to go on a holiday in Tuscany, here is our selection of thermal baths and natural springs, for an exceptional moment of relaxation.

Saturnia: its thermal baths and hot springs

Saturnia: its thermal baths and hot springs

  • The hot springs
Saturnia and its thermal springs is a jewel of the Maremma, a region of Tuscany where nature and history intertwine.
Take an enchanting break during your visit to Tuscany: located in the province of Grosseto and close to the village of Pitigliano, the hot springs of Saturnia are free of charge and remind us of the famous springs of Pamukkale in Turkey. The thermal waters can reach a temperature of 37.5°C and have therapeutic and relaxing properties. The smell of sulfur emanating from the water is peculiar but not disturbing: however, remember to take along clothes and towels that you don't care for, as the sulfurous smell will remain on the fabrics!

Our advice: to avoid the crowds, we advise you to go early in the morning or late in the evening.

  • The thermal baths
Take a multi-sensory trip to the Saturnia thermal baths: there are five outdoor thermal pools, hot and cold water whirlpools, and wellness trails, as well as indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. The thermal water is said to have an antioxidant and revitalizing effect, contributing to the anti-aging effect and smoothes the skin. Complete your experience with beauty treatments or spa treatments in the nearby SPA & Beauty Clinic. The price is €25 for an adult entrance and €8 for children under 18.

Fosso Bianco - Bagni San Filippo

Fosso Bianco - Bagni San Filippo

Don't miss this little corner of paradise nestled in the middle of nature. In the heart of the forest, an hour from Siena, these springs offer free bathing in water between 32 and 40 degrees, depending on the season.  Don't hesitate to climb high enough to reach the pools where the water is warmer: you will attain the impressive limestone formations that have earned Bagni San Filippo the nickname of "white whale", Fosso Bianco. To reach the springs, take the Florence-Rome motorway and exit at Chiusi Chianciano to Bagni di San Filippo, shortly after Chianciano Terme. There is a parking fee: 1.70 euros for 1 hour, 5 euros for 3 hours, 10 euros for the whole day. All you have to do is follow the signposted path and reach the famous "Fosso Bianco".

Terme di Chianciano

Chianciano is the perfect example of a spa town. Dating back to the end of the 17th century, you can find waters from four springs: Holy Water, Fucoli, Silene, and Helena - each with its chemical composition and therapeutic benefits. Don't hesitate to discover the Therme Sensoriali and its superb spa for an unforgettable wellness experience.

Located in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, in the province of Siena, take the opportunity to visit the surrounding villages.

Terme di Montecatini

Terme di Montecatini

Time seems to have stood still in this spa town whose origins date back to Roman times. In the 17th century, Montecatini used to be frequented by the European nobility who sought the benefits of its waters, and it has hosted some of the great names in Italian history, such as the musicians and composers Verdi, Rossini, Leoncavallo, Puccini, and Mascagni. The French fashion designer Christian Dior even spent his last days here in 1957. The thermal baths of Montecatini are among the oldest in Europe, and for 6 euros you can stroll through the beautiful park and sip a glass of thermal water straight from the fountain.

We offer to organize your stay through unique experiences to make your holiday in Tuscany unforgettable. Our staff offer advice on local activities and are always available to help you plan your ideal holiday, as personal as possible.
