Moreover, the doors are all in a different style and are among the most photographed places. Getting lost in the streets is the best way to visit the medina.

The Kasbah

Accessible from the Place Outa el-Hammam, the Kasbah of Chefchaouen houses a tower, an ethnographic museum and small gardens. Very common in Morocco, these are ancient fortresses that once sheltered merchants and travellers. You can climb the Portuguese Tower from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the Spanish Mosque. It is also possible to visit one of the prisons. Be sure to visit the Ethnographic Museum to learn more about the culture and history of the country and discover a collection of objects from the city.

Bouzafar Spanish Mosque

This mosque that can be seen from the Kasbah tower is the ideal place to admire the panorama of Chefchaouen. Climb up from the medina to the Bouzafar Mosque. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of the blue city. Get out your cameras as it is also the perfect setting for sunsets.
