Our villas in Grand Baie are designed around generous living spaces and an easy connection with the outdoors. Spacious interiors open onto terraces and tropical gardens, while ensuite bedrooms provide privacy for families and groups. A fully equipped kitchen and comfortable dining area create a natural setting for shared meals at the villa.
Some properties feature private swimming pools, often surrounded by sun loungers, shaded seating and landscaped gardens. In selected villas, a second outdoor dining area extends onto the terrace, allowing meals to be enjoyed beside the garden or pool. Other features may include a sauna or a dedicated wellness space.
Many villas also include house staff and daily housekeeping, while selected properties offer the services of a private chef or cook.
Villanovo’s properties are located across different parts of Grand Baie, from villas close to the waterfront and town centre to more residential settings offering greater privacy. In central Grand Baie, accommodation places guests within easy reach of restaurants, boutiques and the marina, while properties slightly further from the centre offer a quieter atmosphere without losing convenient access to the bay.
Some villas are positioned close to the lagoon or within walking distance of the beach, while others are set behind the coastline with larger gardens and more secluded outdoor spaces.
Further north, our villas in Cap Malheureux offer another coastal setting, with views towards the northern islets and a quieter atmosphere around the village’s distinctive red-roofed church.
Villanovo’s dedicated local concierge service can assist with airport transfers, private drivers, restaurant reservations, childcare and other practical arrangements before and during the holiday.
The team can also organise experiences according to guests’ interests, from wellness treatments and private boat outings to carefully selected restaurants and days exploring northern Mauritius. Support is adapted to each accommodation and to the pace guests wish to give their time on the island.
Grand Baie is a natural starting point for discovering the waters north of Mauritius. Boat and catamaran trips head towards Coin de Mire, Îlot Gabriel and the surrounding northern islands, where snorkelling and scuba diving offer opportunities to explore reefs and marine life.
Back on land, the north has more to offer than its beaches. Guests can visit the Château de Labourdonnais and its gardens, learn about the island’s sugar-making history at L’Aventure du Sucre or spend time exploring the coastline around Pereybère and Cap Malheureux.
Grand Baie itself provides a livelier contrast, with restaurants, cafés, boutiques and an animated waterfront. This variety makes it easy to alternate days on the lagoon with cultural visits, coastal outings and quieter time at the villa.
