As part of Villanovo’s collection of chalets in La Plagne, the properties in Montalbert enjoy a peaceful setting within a traditional Savoyard village known for its wood-and-stone architecture and welcoming atmosphere. Depending on the chalet, guests may stay close to the village centre and local amenities or in a quieter setting with open mountain views.
Access to the slopes varies by property, with some chalets located within walking distance of the lifts and others connected by shuttle or offering convenient ski access. From Montalbert, the gondola reaches Le Fornelet at 1,970 metres, providing a direct connection to the wider La Plagne and Paradiski ski areas.
Villanovo’s dedicated concierge team assists with every stage of a stay in Montalbert, from airport transfers and ski equipment delivery to private chef services and restaurant reservations. Before arrival, our local specialists coordinate each arrangement according to the plans and preferences of the group.
During the stay, they remain available to organise wellness treatments, family activities and further experiences across La Plagne. Each request is handled with care and discretion, allowing guests to enjoy the slopes, the village and the quieter rhythm of Montalbert at their own pace.
Montalbert offers a peaceful and family-friendly gateway to the Paradiski ski area, with direct access to a vast network of pistes linking La Plagne and Les Arcs. From the village, skiers can begin on quieter, tree-lined runs before exploring the wider domain, which extends across 425 kilometres of varied terrain. The Vanoise Express connects both sides of Paradiski, opening the way to high-altitude slopes, broad cruising runs and more challenging descents.
Away from downhill skiing, the resort offers snowshoeing, dog-sledding and winter walks through the surrounding forests. Families can also enjoy sledging, while wellness treatments and relaxed meals in traditional mountain restaurants provide a slower way to experience the resort after a day outdoors.
In summer, Montalbert becomes a peaceful base for hiking, mountain biking and exploring the Alpine landscapes around the Vanoise National Park.
