Originally built in 1624, Villa Berna is a magnificent house located in the famous area of Coselli: a gracious small village at the foot of the Mount Pisano, which separates Lucca from Pisa. This property was the summer residence of Count Cosimo Bernardini, whose family has played a key role in the administration of the Republic of Lucca for centuries. Immersed in a vast parkland with pool and private pond with graceful swans, the villa combines harmoniously majestic frescoed rooms with modern conveniences. The Villa offers 7 elegant bedrooms with bathroom ensuite.
On the lower floor, there is a dining room with a wood burning oven (perfect for preparing fragrant pizzas), 2 tables for 16 people, a lounge room, a kitchen (with a table for 6), a laundry and 2 bathrooms.
On the ground floor are : a sitting room with TV, a formal dining room (for 14 people), a fully equipped kitchen, a larder and other bathrooms.
The first floor offers beautiful frescoed rooms and a big majestic lounge area with breathtaking views over the Italian garden, the backyard of the Villa and surrounding olive groves. This level features a music room (with a grand piano and a beautiful glimpse of the pond), a majestic bathtub with a Jacuzzi, a lounge, an access to the outside and a small kitchen. There is also three luxury bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (two of them share a spacious walk-in closet).
Outdoors
The villa is nestled in the midst of tranquil Italian gardens through which flows a fresh water brook into two small lakes overlooked by shady weeping willow. The Grand cypress trees and fragrant lemon and herb gardens create the perfect backdrop to the private swimming pool.
The Villa has indeed a beautiful private pool (20x10m, 1,5m to 3m depth) and a relax area.
Guests can also enjoy a jasmine covered gazebo (with a table and some chairs) and two impressive alfresco dining areas: one in front of the house, another in the Italian garden in the backyard overlooking the surrounding area.
Staff & Services
The price includes : chef service Daily Chef service for preparation of breakfast and one meal (lunch or dinner) 6 days a week (Wednesday day off), daily maid service (the morning 6 days a week - Sunday day off), concierge service, electricity (up to 2000 KW - over this amount guests will be charged accordingly to usage), water, gas, linen change (on Saturday and Wednesday), cleaning of the swimming pool, garden maintenance.

- Classic: composed by starter, first course or second course with side dish, dessert hand made by the chef, water and soft drinks unlimited, coffee and 1 bottle of wine every 4 persons. This menu can be either fish or meat.
- Deluxe: composed by starter, first course, second course with side dish, dessert hand made by the chef, water and soft drinks unlimited, coffee and 1 bottle of wine every 4 persons. This menu can be either fish or meat.
- Buffet: composed by 2 starter, 2 first course, 2 second course with side dish, dessert hand made by the chef, water and soft drinks unlimited, coffee and 1 bottle of wine every 4 persons. This menu can be either fish or meat.

The Villa is located in Vorno in the area of Lucca. The village and restaurants are within walking distance of the house.
A putting green is 2.5 km away, a golf course 29 km, a tennis club 2.5 km and the beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi 19 km away.
