How to get to the Costa Brava

Situated on the East coast of Spain, the Costa Brava region is best reached by air. The closest airport is Girona which sees flights from all over Europe arriving on a daily basis or Barcelona is the next nearest. It is possible to arrive by other means of transport including rail, road, and by sea. Fares ultimately depend on the season and tend to be higher during the summer months.

By Air - From the USA

By Air - From Australia, New Zealand or South Africa

There are no direct flights to Girona from Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. If you intend to travel from either Australia or New Zealand you will have to get a connecting flight in either Europe or the Middle East. Emirates or Etihad Airways operate vie the UAE, otherwise you can opt for a European airline such as Air France or Lufthansa.
