Ideal conditions throughout the year!

Ideal conditions throughout the year!

This sport can be practiced all year round, but the dry season from May to November is the best time to enjoy gliding on Balinese waters: regular Southeast winds make it possible to surf in excellent conditions. The high season, between July and September, is synonymous with high attendance.

Although the spots are numerous and varied, Bali promises waves to each of its visitors. During the wet season, from November to March, the monsoon creates excellent swells along the Eastern coast of the Bukit peninsula, reserved for the most experienced surfers.

Beginner, intermediate, advanced...Bali promises beautiful sensations of sliding whatever your level of practice.

For beginners and intermediates

The beaches of Kuta and Legian are ideal with not too large waves and sandy bottoms. But also enjoy Medewi and its pointbreak, Airport Reefs and its right and left waves, Padang Galak and its beautiful right wave. And for surfing apprentices wishing to succeed in their first bottom-turn, there are several surf schools in Kuta and Legian, offering private or group surfing courses run by accredited professionals.

For the most advanced

There is no lack of choice on the island of the gods! Many sites enjoy spectacular waves, a true promise of thrills. Uluwatu, in the South of the island, is one of those legendary spots attracting hundreds of surfers each year in search of the thrill. He, Dreamland and Padang-Padang form a sensational trio where the waves can reach more than three metres.

Echo Beach is another place to challenge the waves, but reserved for seasoned surfers. Moreover, the spectators flock during the sunny days to admire and cheer the daring sportsmen. About 15 minutes from Kuta, another spot is becoming more and more popular: Canggu. But it does not authorise any clumsiness, because the coral bottoms are a risk.
