Kuta Beach

With its 3 km of pearly sand, Kuta beach is the liveliest and most hectic beach in Bali. Given its big waves, it's common to find surfing communities gather on this beach and ride those mighty tides. You'll find that you have the option here of renting Balinese bed-hammocks and even surfboards. If you want a day of pampering your mind and body, Kuta also features various spa centres dotted along its promenade.
As many surfers hold beach parties and competitions here, this isn't the most tranquil beach to go to if you want to unwind and have a peaceful swim. Fun, parties and water sports, on the other hand, are certainly guaranteed-- day and night!

Legian

Legian is the closest beach to Kuta.  Yet as opposed to Kuta, it's much quieter and calmer than its neighbour. It's a small beach enveloped by lush green trees which seem to nestle and bring peace and relaxation to its visitors. Due to being less frequented by tourists, this beach is great for unwinding and connecting with oneself and nature. If you want to admire Bali's magical sunsets-- relax on Legian beach, and at 6 pm, sit on the sand close to the water to contemplate the fiery sundown whilst savouring a refreshing Balinese beer!

Seminyak

Seminyak

If you fancy splashing out on exclusive designer clothes, then Seminyak Beach is the place to come. Seminyak has consolidated its popularity into the most luxurious beach in Bali. With its many fashion boutique stores dotted along its coastal promenade, one can browse and pamper oneself by purchasing the latest trends from well-known brands. One can also find great souvenir gifts to take home, such as Balinese paintings and other artistic pieces.
After you finish on your shopping spree, enjoy a high-cuisine meal in one of Seminyak's most glamorous restaurants and contemplate sunsets from a terrace whilst dining with your loved ones.

In the evening, head off to one of its beach clubs and dance under the moonlight and to the rhythm of the waves.

Sanur

For exploring Bali's seabed, with its many exotic fishes, clams, and corals, then Sanur beach is a must-visit. A snorkelling and diving enthusiasts' paradise, you can hire some gear at one of Sanur's water sports companies and plunge into the inviting turquoise waters to admire the sea life. Situated in the south of the island, it is renowned for being a family beach due to its calm waters and encompassing silence. Hugged by beautiful trees, one can enjoy a picnic under the shade of a palm tree whilst watching your children make sandcastles

Soka Beach

Although smaller than other beaches in Bali, it's no less beautiful. It's also a more unusual beach, given its dark-coloured sand and bounded by high rocks from Mount Batukaru.  Located in the northeast of Denpasar, it boasts calmness and peace and unique landscapes worthy of a postcard. In the village it's located, one can grab a ferry and head off to the nearby island of Java which is somewhat visible from Soka beach.

Jimbaran Beach

Jimbaran Beach

Dining on the best freshly-grilled marinated seafood in coconut shells in front of the sea at sundown is possible at Jimbaran Beach. This beautiful beach is renowned for its top-notch seafood restaurants and other exclusive shops, and glamorous beach clubs. This 4km-long sandy beach is also famous among water sports enthusiasts, where windsurfers and yacht sailors ride Jimbaran's gentle currents. The whole bay is surrounded by a beautiful coral reef that softens the mightier waves that flow into the beach.

Batu Bolong

Located in Canggu, Batu Bolong is another well-known beach among surfers. It's home to the magnificent Buddhist network of Pura Batumejan, with its star-attraction being a pagoda-style temple. Batu Bolong also holds the best coffee shops on the whole island. Taste one of its Balinese coffees at highly-acclaimed places like Betelnut Café, Crate Café or the Bungalow and relish unique coffee flavours with a view.

Padang Padang

A hidden treasure in Bali is Padang Padang beach. Known as one of the best beaches for its white sparkling sand and aquamarine waters, one can reach this beach walking through nature. On this walk to the beach, you'll find a wonderful Buddhist temple where you can make a stop to admire its architecture and take some photographs. This beach is bliss for sunbathing, enjoying pleasant swims and viewing unforgettable sunsets. An interesting fact about this beach-- scenes from Julia Robert's film "Eat, Pray, Love" were shot here!
