How to get to Comporta from Lisbon

Although this small wild paradise seems to be far from the world, what is certain is that it is only an hour away from Lisbon. So if you are enjoying a stay in the Lusitanian capital, an excursion to Comporta would be the finishing touch. If you have a vehicle, you can reach Setúbal in a matter of 35 minutes, since there are only 50 kilometres between these two destinations. There, a ferry will wait for you to transport you to the Troia Peninsula. The good news is that you can access the boat in your own car, as there are boats ready for it!
 
There are also several bus lines that make this journey that will be alter the journey time depending on whether they operate on the highway or not. The approximate duration is 50 minutes, and the price of tickets is around 5 euros, although it depends on the company chosen. The bus station of Setúbal is near the port where you must take the ferry, so it will be perfect to make the transfer. If you want to travel by direct bus, you must change at Grândola.
 
If you prefer that the trip is not by road, you can choose the train to Setúbal. In this case, the duration of the trip will increase to approximately 55 minutes, since you must make a connection in Campolide.
 
The boat trip is very pleasant and its duration very short.
