Discovering the Villa des Jardins

A real oasis on the outskirts of Marrakech

A real oasis on the outskirts of Marrakech

A luxury and charming villa, like an oasis on the outskirts of Marrakech

When you enter the garden of the Villa des Jardins for the first time you have the feeling that you are entering a real oasis. This impression is all the more astonishing as you are only a 5-minute drive from the ramparts of Marrakech and 7 to 8 minutes from the famous Jemma El Fna square and its colourful souks.

The branches of the mandarin trees, orange, lemon, date palms, hundred-year-old olive trees ... are home to hundreds of birds that welcome you with a concert of chirping and chirping. You are welcome in this plant paradise.

Specialists will tell you that the garden of the Villa des Jardins is the unlikely encounter between two landscape styles that are usually opposed to each other: The "French-style" garden found in the adobe walls which structure and separate the spaces and form well-ordered paths for circulation and the "English garden" which appears in these same spaces where nature seems to take back all its freedom.
Aromatic plants (aniseed, laurel, sage, rosemary, mint, lavender...) compete for their territories with flowers (roses of all shapes, scents and colours, daturas, birds of paradise...), climbing plants (bougainvillea, jasmine, floridian lianas...) and Saharan plants (cacti of all species, euphorbias, agaves...).

In the heart of this luxuriant garden teeming with life, the swimming pool reigns supreme. Everything seems to revolve around it. Birds are inexorably attracted: turtle doves, pigeons, wood pigeons, blackbirds, wagtails, sparrows ... come here to drink or bathe.

The residents of the villa also spend long and beautiful afternoons bathing, playing or lounging in the comfortable sunbathing areas at their disposal.
In winter the temperature of the swimming pool is maintained at 27 / 28° for the enjoyment of young and old alike.

The Villa des Jardins features 6 rooms and suites spread over 3 buildings located at a short distance from each other.

The exterior architecture is a clever mix of Arab-Andalusian style and modern Mediterranean architecture. The interior architect Raymond Morel (who designed the Murano in Paris, the Domaine de Verchant in Montpellier) designed all the interior spaces of the Villa des Jardins, the furniture and the entire design.

Layout of the Villa des Jardins

The main villa :

It faces the swimming pool and has 4 very spacious bedrooms (more than 50 m2 each) including 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor. Each room has a private terrace, a spacious bathroom with separate toilet, shower and/or bathtub. These 4 rooms can accommodate 8 adults and 3 children with extra benches or beds.

Life is organised in the common areas: A living room with a fireplace, a library corner with satellite TV, video and music opens a dining room that can accommodate all the guests of the villa together.

A large covered terrace opens onto the swimming pool. It is nice to have an aperitif, lunch or dinner in any season on this terrace. No wonder it is the favourite place to live for almost all the residents of the Villa des Jardins, with the swimming pool of course.

The icing on the cake is that the owner has equipped all common areas, dining room, TV lounge, garden terrace and swimming pool with BOSE sound equipment. Music lovers are in heaven.

The separate pavilion :

A pretty pavilion of about 80 m2 located a few meters from the main villa can easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. A large room decorated on the theme of African lodges opens onto a beautiful terrace and an "almost" private lawn. A pretty fireplace decorates the living room, a breakfast corner is hidden behind sliding panels in raw wood. The very spacious bathroom is equipped with a large bathtub, an Italian shower and a dressing room. At the height of luxury, the bathroom opens onto a private outdoor garden planted with banana trees, bougainvilleas and other exotic plants that bring colour and freshness.

The wooden bungalow :

The latest addition to the range, this wooden bungalow of 40 m2 including 15 m2 of terrace offers a comfortable and original space. The bedroom has a sofa corner that can accommodate a young child, the bathroom has an Italian shower and separate toilet. The room opens onto a spacious terrace equipped with a rocking chair, 2 armchairs and a coffee table. The property's rose garden and the orange trees surrounding the bungalow flood it with their spring scent.

The fitness area :

In the garden, a fitness area has been set up under a canvas of shade. It is equipped with 2 training bikes, an elliptical bike, a stepper, a set of dumbbells and a weight table. Access free of charge.

Guests of the Villa des Jardins always leave this paradise reluctantly after a few days of a particularly relaxing and successful stay.

A brand new spa :

Recently opened, the Villa des Jardins spa offers facilities of a rare quality: A traditional hammam built entirely in white Carrara marble, 2 massage rooms and a beauty treatment room (body treatments, pedicure, manicure...), not forgetting a rest area around a fountain.
