Portugal boasts one of the most pleasant climates on the European continent. Although it can be considered a Mediterranean climate, it is altered by the Atlantic Ocean, with a mass of humid air that modifies the temperatures. that being said, it must be taken into account that the climate varies from region to region. Altitude, latitude and proximity to the sea are some of the factors that explain the difference between the north and the south of the country. Generally speaking, summers inland are hot. In coastal areas, temperatures are moderate due to the proximity of the sea.

Also, November is the beginning of the so-called St. Martin's summer (what we call the Indian summer).
