Situated in the southeast of Corsica, the town of Porto-Vecchio is a superb destination for a short break with family or friends.
Are you looking for inspiration for your holiday in Porto-Vecchio? You'll be spoilt for choice: let yourself be surprised by the winding streets of the fortified town, its white sandy beaches, and its delicious gastronomic addresses. The "city of salt" has a rich cultural and natural heritage- worth a visit. Swimming costume, smart outfit, and hiking boots: ready for an exciting weekend in Porto-Vecchio!
Let yourself be carried away and stroll through the cobbled streets. Its streets are full of quaint little restaurants, as well as a variety of typical and designer shops. Then head to the Bastion de France and enjoy the view over the bay of Porto-Vecchio. Continue your walk down to the port. The quays are punctuated by ice cream parlors, restaurants, and bars. Don't hesitate to try the ice-creams at the Glacier de la Place, a must-see address in Porto-Vecchio.
Then, head for Palombaggia beach, 10 minutes from Porto-Vecchio, for lunch at Da Mare by Sea Lounge. Less well known than its neighbor Palombaggia and therefore less frequented, Tamaricciu beach has nothing to envy it. Located only 5 minutes walk from Palombaggia, the beauty and diversity of its natural environment make Tamaricciu an emblematic site and you can relax in the shade of its many umbrella pines.

The dishes are tasty, the products fresh and refined: among others, grilled prawns, burratina in a salad, or homemade foie gras with onion chutney. Tip: we recommend that you book at the 19:30 service time to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay in a chic lounge atmosphere.
If you want to continue the evening in a festive atmosphere with a view of the port of Porto-Vecchio, head for the Othello cocktail bar. Try the bosses' recommendation, the Tiki Cocktail (rum, vanilla liqueur, pineapple, orgeat, passion fruit, and orezza).

Perfect for hiking, the Ospedale natural park is a mix of rocks, cork oaks, and pine forest, not to mention a sublime view of the gulf.
For a well-deserved moment of relaxation, head for the artificial lake of Ospedale, nestled in the heart of a forest of Laricio pines and beeches, and refresh yourself in an enchanting setting. This dam supplies drinking water to the entire region of southern Corsica.
And to end this Corsican weekend in style, head for the typical restaurant U Funtanonu in the small village of Ospedale. You will discover a creative, traditional but original, mastered, tasty cuisine and a smiling and passionate team. Between pigeon cooked in a rosé sauce, cocotte eggs with truffles, or porcini mushrooms accompanied by homemade gnocchi with parmesan, this enchanting place will be the final touch to your weekend in Porto-Vecchio.
