Discover what to do during a weekend in Ibiza - Ibiza

Day 1

The island is ingeniously imbued with the almost intriguing calm of its verdant plains and the dynamic animation of its towns and beaches. In order to fulfill the expectations of its many guests, Ibiza offers a myriad of activities that are both nonchalant and stimulating.

For your first half day, drive to the citadel of Eivissa, a magnificent fortress that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Contemplate the view over the entire city of Ibiza from the heights of this century-old building and through the opening. It is also called "Dalt Vila", which means "high city" in Catalan. The best view is at Santa Tecla which is the highlight of the city, so take your courage with both hands and have a little patience to reach the top of this city of character. Going down you can also make a stop by the market of the Place of the Constitution to nibble a treat or admire the colours of the stalls.

Going up the narrow winding streets of the city, you can stumble upon the Cathedral of the Virgin of the Snows. Continuing further you will find the museum of contemporary Catalan art, ideal for lovers or the curious who want to know more about the local art and its evolution. For lunch, we advise you to eat in the vicinity of Dalt Vila because you will find excellent restaurants!

In the afternoon, you can opt for a moment of relaxation on one of the sublime beaches and in particular the Aguas Blancas creek which is a small corner of paradise. After a busy morning of culture and discovery, there is nothing better than to relax and enjoy the sun on the sand or on the terrace of one of Ibiza's many beachside bars.

For those who do not want to stay in the same place, head in the direction of San Francesc to visit the natural park of Las Salinas. A sublime natural park where you will learn more about the fauna and the local flora, so characteristic of this island of the Balearic Islands. One of the unavoidable experiences to make on this little corner of paradise, is to have the guidance of a guide who will tell you the history of the formation of these exceptional lands.

For your evening, do not hesitate to choose from the many restaurants by the beach.

Day 2

For your second day, we advise you to visit the charming market of Las Dalias. This hippie market is a must in Ibiza and offers an aspect of the island that few people know. Las Dalias which guarantees a perfect day between trendy shops for all the family, restaurants for all prices, cosmopolitan music all in a summer atmosphere. It is impossible to get out of this place without having unearthed a beach or evening dress in Bohemian style. You can also check out our guide to the best shopping addresses so you can choose where to shop on this second half day.

By bus or taxi, you can go to the Bambuddha to enjoy lunch in an idyllic and unique setting.

For your last half day, we advise you to relax on a beach to observe a magnificent sunset on this mysterious island. Among the most beautiful beaches to contemplate a twilight: Cala Conte or Cala d'hort with its sublime cliffs.
