The restaurant Sr. Bacalhau, located at the bottom of the hill below the Villa Fense, is very good.
Afife itself is not particularly interesting, although there are some good walks and a nice beach — as long as you don't want to do a lot of swimming in the Atlantic.
The surrounding area offers a lot of interesting and beautiful Portuguese history and countryside within easy driving distance, including Porto, Viana do Castelo, and Ponte de Lima.
