Although this is very much a question of personal taste, with the summers being a little too hot for some, the best time to visit Marrakech is often the spring or autumn. We had dinner at ‘La Terrasse des les Epices’ in the medina and it was excellent and so was lunch at ‘Le Jardin’ at Royal Mansour Hotel. We also played golf twice at Royal Marrakesh Golf Club…very nice.
One of my favorite experiences was visiting the local spicemarkets, where the vibrant atmosphere and diverse array of goods were truly captivating.
For dining, I particularly enjoyed my birthday dinner at Safran - By Kôya, in the medina, where the was live music, entertainment and lovely dancers. Another memorable restaurant was Le Jardin, offering a delightful blend of local and international dishes in a beautiful garden setting.
In terms of activities, my birthday group and I did hot air balloon with Ciel d'Afrique, quad bike, sightseeing and massages with Renaissens.
Overall, the combination of beautiful locations, exceptional dining in the villa as well as outside the villa, and unique activities made for a truly delightful 40th birthday experience.
We went to Scarabeo camp for the day which was everyone's favourite day. We did quad biking or camel trips and it was followed by a lunch which was perfect.
We also visited Bo Zin Restaurant in Marrakech during our stay which had lovely food and a great vibe for a party.

We took a private tour of the Medina with a guide, and went to some great restaurants: Bo-Zin (Route de l'Ourika), Kabana (in the Marrakach Medina), Folk ( just outside the Medina). We also visited the Agafay desert.
We loved going to the Medina. The shopping experience in Morocco was definitely our highlight, bartering with the local is a fun experience. We had to buy an additional suitcase to take all the good we bought back home.
We were blown away by the sheer beauty of the Agafay dessert just one hour away. We spent one night in a camp and witnessed one of the best Sunrise and sunset, it was magical. We did the hot air balloon experience in the early morning to catch the sunrise and camel ride in the evening during sunset—both were surreal experiences and I would definitely recommend it . We also visited the Yves Saint Laurent museum, the Majorelle Garden, the tombs, the palaces to name a few. The best experience though was the food…absolutely delicious.
