Our collection includes villas with several bedrooms, landscaped gardens, terraces and private swimming pools, providing generous indoor and outdoor spaces for time together. Depending on the property, facilities can also include air conditioning, a gym, games room or spa area.
For guests who want to stay close to the Indian Ocean, some villas with direct beach access in Mauritius allow guests to reach the beach directly from the property or residence. Others overlook a turquoise lagoon or sit only a short distance from the shoreline.
House staff may be available at some villas to assist with daily housekeeping, while a chef or cook can be available depending on the property. Larger houses provide several bedrooms and communal areas suited to families travelling together or groups who want to share a villa while retaining their own space.
Mauritius offers very different environments depending on the coast, from the livelier north to the beaches and golf estates of the east, the mountains of the west and the quieter surroundings of the south.
The north combines beaches, restaurants, shops and a wide choice of activities. Grand Baie is one of the island’s livelier coastal centres, while Trou aux Biches is known for its lagoon and long beach. Pointe aux Canonniers offers a more residential setting while remaining close to Grand Baie and Mont Choisy.
Our villas in the north of Mauritius suit travellers who want easy access to restaurants, beaches and boat departures while staying in a private house. There is also plenty of opportunity to combine days by the sea with shopping, dining and coastal activities.
The east coast is characterised by white sandy beaches, lagoons and golf estates. Belle Mare is well suited to days beside the sea, while Trou d’Eau Douce provides convenient access to boat departures for Île aux Cerfs. Around Anahita, golf forms a central part of the setting.
Poste Lafayette offers another residential stretch of coastline, with villas close to the sea and quieter surroundings. Snorkelling and boat outings also provide opportunities to discover vibrant coral reefs and marine life along parts of the eastern coastline.
The west coast combines beaches with some of the island’s best-known areas of natural beauty. Tamarin is closely associated with surfing, while Black River provides access to the national park and the south-west. Around Le Morne, the mountain and lagoon create a distinctive setting for hiking, kitesurfing and days by the sea.
Our villas in Flic en Flac are well placed for travellers looking to stay close to a long beach, restaurants and everyday services on Mauritius’ west coast.
Southern Mauritius has a quieter character, with fewer large coastal centres and easy access to lush landscapes. Bel Ombre combines beaches, golf and green surroundings, while Pointe d’Esny is known for its lagoon, clear waters and proximity to Mahébourg.
The south is well suited to travellers who want to combine quieter beaches with golf, coastal scenery and visits around Mahébourg and the south-west.

The coastline is central to a stay in Mauritius. Swimming and snorkelling are possible in many lagoons according to local conditions, while surfing, kitesurfing, sailing and paddleboarding provide different ways to enjoy the coast. Whether you want to try a new water sport or spend the day swimming, the island offers a broad range of activities on and around the sea.

Away from the coast, Black River Gorges National Park offers hiking trails through native vegetation. In the south-west, Chamarel is known for its waterfall and coloured earths, while Le Morne Brabant combines an important historical site with hiking and wide views over the surrounding lagoon.
Food is another part of discovering the island. Mauritian cuisine reflects Indian, Creole, Chinese and European influences, with seafood, curries, rougaille and vindaye among the dishes encountered in restaurants and local markets.

We loved the recommendation of the personal trainer, David. He was excellent.
We loved the Grand Bay area, we had dinner there one night in a local restaurant that had seafood and creole food : Le Capitaine. The location is amazing. Also we would recommend a trip to La Valle des Couleurs nature park. Many activities for families such as ziplines, buggy and quad tours, many beautiful sites like waterfalls, napalese bridge and etc.. Very good location. We also really enjoyed the catamaran tour that was organized for us by Madame Jessica. The staff was nice and helpful, we spend all the on the water, got to snorkel and see many fish, we also got on an island where we spend a little bit of time sunbathjng and having fun. We recommend WHALE DREAM, they use technology that helps hear and find sperm whales, educates everyone and tells about the species.

Mauritius itself; paradise on earth
We loved the very short walk to the beach from our villa. We highly recommend renting a car from Villanovo's concierge service to explore the island. We had a lot of opportunities to visit many locations from the north to the south or from east to west.
